Successful military to civilian transition occurs with a properly constructed dynamic network that is able to expedite access to resources, programs, services, and benefits.

Understanding the military to civilian transition from a Veteran’s perspective and that of their families, caregivers, and survivors provides a unique lens into the most important needs of transitioning Service members.

The ecosystem, for the required outcome within a community consists of a local transition team that includes individual Service branches, the inter-agency Transition Assistance Program (TAP), and community resources delivered through local government, and both private and non-profit industries.

This ecosystem delivers the holistic approach identified by the VA, that works the system outlined in their framework.
